From the HALO Device Manager:
After downloading the current firmware note the destination folder and unzip your download.
Log into HALO Device Manager and login with you username and password to get full HALO status to have Actions Access.
In the HALO Device Manager select the Actions tab and select the Upload Firmware action.
The HALO unit will reboot multiple times during upgrade. DO NOT DISCONNECT POWER TO THE UNIT.
From the HALO Smart Sensor website
Open a web browser and navigate the HALOs IP Address
From the browser interface, select the Device icon at the bottom.
The Device Management tool will open, select [Browse] Upload firmware field to upload the firmware. Then select Upload Firmware.
The HALO unit will reboot multiple times during the upgrade. DO NOT DISCONNECT POWER FROM THE UNIT.
HOW DO I VIEW THE FIRMWARE VERSION ON THE HALO?
Local Device:
- One a browser an login to HALO via IP-Address
- Click on the About Icon top right corner
- DEVICE INFO INCLUDES:
- Model Version
- Firmware Version
- Device MAC
- Device Serial #
- Ethernet MAC
- IPV4 & IPV6 IP Addresses • If Wi-Fi is enabled:
- IP of Wi-Fi Adapter
- MAC of Wi-Fi Adapter
- CO2 Serial # (Depending on Model)
HALO Cloud:
- Hover over the menu on the left
- Click on device maintenance
- Select your device
- Firmware version information will be displayed on the right (Image below)
HALO Device Manager:
- Click on devices
- Select Device Scan
- Look for UPKVersion

PRE-INSTALLATION BEST PRACTICES
For Vape Detection:
HALO should be located on a ceiling. For Vape Detection HALO should be in an area relatively free of air currents. Avoid HVAC exhaust or return ducts, fans, and areas near the door between two rooms. HALO mounting should avoid areas with significant background noise or vibration.
For Safety:
